View Views Views   Amazing 180 degree ocean view.

Walk through the front door, and instantly you are captivated by one of the best views in all of Hawaii !

This isn't the view from one corner of the yard, this is the view from almost every room in the house!  Every bedroom, the living room, dining room, kitchen and all lanais have this incredible view!  Underground utilities ensures there are no power lines to block your view.

You can even see the whitewater when the surf is high!  And night is just as good, with the city lights of Kailua-Kona.

House13 009.jpg (207022 bytes) Location Location Location   At 660 feet, this is considered by most to be the perfect elevation because it is warm enough to know you're in Hawaii, but doesn't get too hot.  (We have 5 ceiling fans, but you may never need them!)  And it's almost always sunny here.

Located between Kailua-Kona and Keauhou, convenient to both.  This is a great location for experiencing the island, from the great beaches to the North, to Kealakekua Bay and the Volcano to the South.

In 5 minutes you can be in Kailua Town (with its pier, restaurants, art galleries and shopping), upscale Keauhou, or at the famous Kahaluu Beach Park (snorkeling beach with turtles) and Disappearing / Magic Sands Beach.   Keauhou and the new Sheraton are equally close.

Relax in the hammock...  Or lounge around the pool, just steps from the Tiki Bar and large barbeque grill.  Tiki torches come on automatically every night, to provide the perfect island atmosphere.

Pool has solar heat!  Heated pools are not common in Hawaii!

bullet6-14-08 Update: We just added Solar Heating to the pool.  Most people in Hawaii don't heat their pools, but we thought it would be nice to have it a little warmer.   The floors on the lower level are now wood, not carpet.

* This is a multi- level home.   At street level are the kitchen, dining room, den, master bedroom, and 1.5 baths.  The living room is a few steps down from this level.  The lowest level leads out to the pool and contains two additional bedrooms and a bath.

kilo.hana

1. nvs. Name of the outside, decorated sheet of tapa in the ku'inakapa, bed coverings; the four inner layers were white, contrasting with the decorated kilohana. Hence extended meanings: best, superior, excellent.

2. n. Hillock, heap, lookout, top, view out, high point (kilo + hana).

We hope you enjoy our home and your vacation!  Happy lava hunting!
